XBC-6 Brush Cutter
Maximize your older/small skid steer with this newly designed brush cutter from Carolina Attachments. The same popular deck design as the XBC7 & XBC8, now available for machines with less hydraulic flow.
This is the perfect cutter for those older/smaller skid steers. Get large cutting capacity from your older/smaller skid steer. Using the high speed omni rc100(100hp) gear box to achieve the higher blade speeds needed to cut amd maintain blade tip speed on larger diameter material, this cutter fills the void left behind by others. Traditionally only brush cutters capable of smaller cutting capacity, 3" diameter and less, have been available in this flow range.

☆☆☆FAQ'S☆☆☆
Does this brush cutter really cut 6" trees?
Yes! This cutter is rated from the manufacturer to consistently cut 6" diameter hardwood trees all day, every day! This is a commercially rated brush cutter, using a time tested and proven hydraulic motor and omni RC100 gear box setup. Many customers have reported cutting much larger trees with this cutter, but please keep in mind, the manufacturer rates and warrants this cutter for up to 6".
Will this brush cutter also cut grass and overgrown fields, and how well does it do compared to a 3 point rotary cutter?
Yes, this brush cutter will perform double duty, cutting larges trees and grass/overgrown fields. Many customers tell us they use one side of the bi-directional blades for trees and brush, and use the other side for grass/fields. This method keeps the side used for grass sharper for a longer period of time allowing the cutter to mow fields efficiently. This brush cutter leaves behind a clean cut comparable to that of traditional 3 point rotary cutters. In the picture that is in this ad of a path that was mowed threw an overgrown field, that hadn't been mowed in 2 years, a single pass was performed in thick & tall grass/weeds.
What is a case drain, and do I need one for this cutter?
This cutter does NOT require the use of a case drain line! A case drain is used on radial piston motors to relieve excess pressure within the motor. Again this cutter DOES NOT use a case drain line!
Does this brush cutter require high flow hydraulics?
NO! This is a standard flow brush cutter, NOT high flow. This cutter uses one of the widest flow ranges available of 11-20GPM.
I have a high flow skid steer, can i still run this brush cutter?
Yes! The cutter can still be ran on your high flow machine. High flow machines usually have one of the following, either separate hydraulic couplers, or a high flow option button inside the cab. To run this cutter, simply hook the hydraulic hoses into the standard flow couplers, or do not turn on your high flow option.
Can i sharpen the blades, and how or what method should I use?
Yes, the AR400 blades can be sharpened to give extended blade life! To sharpen the blades, you can rotate the blade to the front of the cutter, and swing it out, exposing it from the deck. Then use an angle grinder to re-sharpen. Simply hold the grinder at the same angle that the blade was originally sharpened to.
Where can I get replacement blades, and how much are they?
Replacement blades can be purchased from us, or direct from the manufacturer (Carolina Attachments, LLC). We keep replacement blade kits in stock at all times. There is an ad posted in out Ebay store for replacement blades. Blades can not be purchased from your local farm supply store, because they are cut in house by the manufacturer. Full replacement sets (3 blade cutters) are $225 plus shipping. Many customers buy an extra set of blades at the same time as the cutter, to save the added shipping cost of the blades.
What does the 1 year warranty cover?
The manufacturer warrants this cutter to be free from manufacturer defects for 1 year from the purchase date. This warranty covers, but is not limited to, all components excluding wear parts I.E(blades and hydraulic hoses).
